Pronghorn Antelope
These sleek, shy ungulates are the fastest land animal in the Western Hemisphere; their long, deer-like legs can reach and maintain speeds well over 40 miles per hour. The male’s unique foot-long horns curve backward, giving them a very distinct appearance. Northern New Mexico is known for trophy pronghorn. Success has been 100 percent on this hunt for many years.
